This is the Confederate Memorial Carving on the side of the mountain.
Over the Christmas break we visited Stone Mountain which is about 30 min. from us. It is a mix between a state park and a toned down theme park. The main feature is the huge granite stone mountain which you can visit the top of in a sky ride. It was quite windy and chilly on top.
